Engineering Aide and Document Technician (Job Code: V)
This hourly position reports to a Project Engineer. Responsibilities include the review and verification of engineering design drawings in compliance with drafting and design standards. Upon approval, this position is also responsible for the updating of bill of materials and vault administration in compliance with AS9100. Applicant will also coordinate and maintain FAA communication logs for pending design submittals. Assistance with Engineering Change Requests is also required. Candidate should possess the following education and relevant work experience:
- Technical or bachelor degree desired.
- Minimum 5 years experience with mechanical design/drafting required.
- Some aviation or military related field experience desired.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with tolerances and engineering standards to ANSI/ASME Y14.5M-1994.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels.
- Experience with design software of both AutoCad and SolidWorks required.
