Designer/Drafter (Job Code: B)

Candidate will be responsible for executing engineering change orders from Production, Customer Service, and Quality Control to the Engineering department. Execute changes in compliance with Engineering standards and existing processes. The position will report to the Project Support Engineer. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Implement design changes to existing product lines to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Assist in engineering document control.
• Provide Engineering support for manufacturing activities.
• Provide Engineering support (CAD modeling, design, drafting, vendor liaison) for new product development programs when required.

Due to the strict time frames within the aviation industry, candidate must be able to handle several priority items as well as meet simultaneous deadlines. The ideal candidate would have:

• Technical or bachelor degree desired.
• Minimum 5 years experience with mechanical design/drafting required.
• Technical aptitude and familiarity with tolerances and engineering standards to ANSI/ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Minimum three years of both AutoCAD and Solid Works experience. Solid Works experience to include Solid Works PDM.
• Minimum three years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aviation related.
• Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels.
